Oh I would also try to build in import/export functionality so that everyone could share their recipes of course![]()

I'm thinking about writing a Windows Application that would take the hassle out of deciding what to eat every day.
Pretty much the idea I'm throwing around is that you would input any number of meals that you wished, and then you could randomly generate meals for any given day from those set amount of meals.
Properties of each meal would include:
Name
Maybe the recipe?
Ratios
Overall Calories
Meal Number (meals can belong to more than one number, such as X meal can be both meal 3 or meal 4 for example)
Although it might take a while due to having other work (damn you college!), I'm also thinking about maybe including functionality for daily and weekly summaries.
I might build a section for training, but for now I think this is enough![]()
Any comments or suggestions? I want to make sure there is enough interest in something like this before I spend any large amounts of time on it.

I'd join the beta ... it would be a useful tool
il join 2 could realy use it
Sounds like a good idea, they probably already have something like that I'd imagine, but if not, you could make some $!

I wasn't looking to make money at all =P
I just thought of it because I can never decide what to make and I also don't have a large amount of recipes, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Besides, being able to provide it as an example of my programming to any potential employers is payment enough, especially if it is being used by the public.
Only just came across this post, yer Id be interested, are you still considering writing the program?

Maybe as a side hobby, but no I hadn't really been planning on writing it. There didn't seem to be much interest, I've since switched my focus from programming to network administration and design, and I had that idea before I knew about fitday (which does almost everything I was going to do, and then some).
The only additional thing I was going to add in was the recipe sharing database, other than that fitday.com is probably superior to what I would be writing.

Wish I'd seen this, it's a cool idea. I'd have been interested. I thought about doing just that using ms excel but never made the time.
