whats up guys? Well tonight I went to APPLEBEES with a few friends and TOTALLY blew my diet to ****. I mean I ate everything im not supposed to. I had potatoe skins, quesadillas, and mozzerella sticks. Mind you I a havent had food like this in about a month and a half.. Now I know cheating is good when cutting, but does the same go for bulking?? Did this treat actually help me rather than set me back?? Thanx

I cheat to reward myself for doing so good on my diet. Its like something to look forward too. Sometime gets you through tough times. (That sounded corny) The only bad thing is you feal like crap the next day. Its not going to kill ya, if thats what your worried about.

Me and honey have a cheat night every Saturday night, kinda like Mule said to reward yourself. Of course, I have cheat meals during the week too, but that's just a bad eating habit I am trying to break. Since, my surgery last Monday, I was doing pretty good, except for a Strawberry Tallcake from Ruby Tuesday's, but then Friday, I lost it. I got all these cravings back, I think my pain meds. were suppresing them or something, so the day I didn't take one, I went crazy. Personally, I don't think you hurt yourself (I think it's healthy to fulfill a craving once in awhile or eat something not so great for yourself, too bad that I do it all the time....LOL!), but even though you want to bulk up, you don't want to do it with fatty foods.

You should include a "cheat day" into your diet weekly. 6 days of clean eating, one cheat day, eat whatever you want.

The only exception to this would be if you're preparing for a contest, in that case no cheat days allowed!

I agree with everyone else here.. You should allow yourself a cheat day. I have one and eat what ever I want all day long. I try not to over due it of course, but if you deprive yourself of these things it really makes it hard for you to stick to it.. So go ahead and have those mozerella sticks.. Yummy!!

I never have a specific cheat day but I cheat a tiny bit everyday like adding a bit in here and there, which doesn't effect my total percentages in the long run, but I never have one all out cheat day.

I would feel like a big fat cow if I cheated all day long on what I wanted. I am like Mighty King and I cheat a little everyday probaly. Well maybe not everyday but alot of the days.

Cool

I don't have a "cheat day" but cheating on the 'ol diet once in a while is good for ya- it keeps the brain happy.

If I feel like I'm gonna die if I don't get a slice of Pizza, I get one, I just don't eat a whole pie.
