EFA Overload??

I'm trying to increase my fat intake but also trying to reduce bf so need it to be from good fats.

At the moment I take 3 EFA's caps a day, which is the max amount to take a day according to the instructions but that only gives me about 3g's of fat!

I also have a handful of almonds a day (approx 15g's) and obvioulsy I get from from other pieces of food but not much at all because my diet is really clean.

Anyway my question is, is it ok to take more efa caps than what the instructions say to boost up my intake?

If the caps contain only EFAs, and it fits into your diet, I don't see any reason why it would be detrimental to you.

I should also not that, depending on your diet, there's any number of non-supplemental ways you could boost your EFAs.

Olive oil and salad works fine. I normally just throw a tbsp into my shakes. That is if I have casein, because I dont use fat for pre or post workouts. And thats about the only time I use my whey is post and pre.

I use an organic apple vinegar and it tastes great. It's not like regular vinegar.

The combination of olive oil, apple vinegar, and raisins turns an otherwise blah salad into something pretty tasty. I actually look forward to eating salads now. Heck, I just ate one an hour ago.

I think DOMS is refering to ACV apple cider vinegar. Olive oil and ACV are great together.

Your EFA supp is it a 3-6-9 supp, or just an omega 3 supp?

6 to 9 caps a day would be as much as I would take. Personally if I were you from looking at your diet, I would just supplement with an omega 3 supp. ideally you want to have around a 3:1 ratio of omega 6mega 3

Balsamic vinegar and olive oil is also very good on salads
avocodos and cashews and dried cranberries are also great on salads.

Mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, red cabbage, fresh garlic, apple slices, avocodo, cashews and cranberries... with balsamic vinegarete and a squeeze of lemon and parsley...yum yum.

Balsamic anything is great. The chicken on my salad was made using a Balsamic marinade.

Did you know that what you buy in the store isn't really Balsamic vinegar? The real stuff costs about $200 per ounce.

Yep cheap balsamic vinger has brown sugar or caramel added to it. The good stuff takes 10 plus years of aging and should only be grapes, hence the reason you pay for it.

There was a 2 months period where I was consuming around 4-5k Kcals.... and 90% of my fat came from fish oil caps. (the lowest Hg ones out there...)

So u need 3 times more omega6 than 3 do u?

Might get a seperate omega 6 supp as well as an all-in-one then.

you already get a significant amount of omega 6 from your diet. An omega 3 supp is all you need. Most diets lack in omega 3
