This is the training section. A diet question like this should go into the nutrition section. As well calorie needs vary by individual, so take a stroll over to the nutrition section and read the stickies at the top of that section

My bad...looked at the forums and thought the lower forums on the list were all supp stuff. But tucked in amongst the the Manufacturers banners was Diet and Nuts.

So can anyone just give me a ball park cal intake while I read? Age, weight all come into play, but don't we generally burn 2000-2500 dailly with basic stuff? Then figure what you burn on your workout and adjust accordingly (whether gaining or losing)?

Nobody can give you a number that you need. It depends on your level of health, foods you eat, how many times you eat, how much you lift, how much you do cardio etc... Only you can determine that true number and if anyone tells you differently, they are full of shit.

My post wasn't looking for specifics, I was just asking for some basics.

If you are looking for a good starting point then check out the stickies that the top of the Diet and Nutrition forum.

Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.
