What should I do take or eat after workout. It feels like I need to do something to get my body back to "normal" and ready for the next day.

I either use L glutamine, protein shake, or whey. All in milk
Well protein and carbs is a must anything else is kinda the flavor of the week. But the protein and carbs has to be there right after a workout.
what do you do for protein and carbs? sandwhich?


My PWO shake has Protein Powder, Oats, Banana, Low-Fat yogurt. Oh, and water.

just wondering could you sub milk in for water? because I have horrible DOMS the next day. It might be because I dont do anything right after except mayby stretch.

A protein shake with some fast absoring carbs for most people, followed by a whole meal incl. fats one hour later.
If you're using a lot of supplements, you should put creatine and BCAA's in your PWO shake.
For DOMS you might want to take contrast showers post-workout.


Comprehensive static stretching works wonders aswell.

whats comprehensive static stretches? and for the contrast showers is that right after my WO or can I wait a little while? contrast shower is cold, hot, cold, hot correct?
