it started out with a bowl of Kashi Go Lean and i ended up eating almost an entire box of "Great Grains Rasins, Dates, and Pecans" cereal...
i feel terrible its only 7 am and ive basically screwed up my diet for the day.. should i cut cals the rest of the day? do some extra cardio?

just eat healthy the rest of the day. DO NOT write the entire day off as a cheat day.

Zactly.

Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.

Also give yourself a little slack. Your human. You will goof up a little as you get this lifestyle change worked into your actual life. Like Mike Tyson said "Everyone has a plan 'til they get punched in the face". You keep your plan and go on eating healthy. And don't think cuz you chowed down and over ate early this will last you through the day ... you'll run outta gas later and get all into eating a side of beef to make up for being tired. Ignore the goof and go on with life ...

You can handle this man ... no sweat!!

I'd say try to avoid having just cereal like that - it might help. I know that I have to make sure I only rarely eat cereal for breakfast since it doesn't have enough protein. I find I can easily eat like half the box or more and still only JUST feel satiated or maybe not even.

That and I love eggs in the morning anyway

Holy crap! (literally)

Hope you've got enough toilet paper in the house.

Screwing up on one meal won't really hurt you. A pattern of cheating will.

If you makes you feel better, I ate a whole bag of nacho cheese Dorritos yesterday. They were on sale for $2.50/big bag .

When you mess up one meal just try to make up for it with your others.. cut calories back a bit and keep eating clean. Careful not to screw up the next day.

Yeah I did that yesterday... out shopping w/the hubby and had a craving for candy (which I don't usually eat at all - but I'm on a cut ) anyway,, you know you stop by those penny candy places that charge you an arm & a leg for a small bag of candy... ok, mine wasn't so small. .. about 7.50 worth.. and ended up eating almost the whole bag.... Swedish fish are so yummy...

I'm back on track today

At first glance I thought you told her:

"Don't feel guilty, it will help you have energy to clean the house."
