Frozen chicken breasts in the uk are somethings like 30% water so when you grill them they shrink, I find a 6 piece bag lasts me 2 days maximum which is why i dont buy them.

Yeah same here man. The problem is I just moved to the Lower East Side and there is a small grocery store about a block away. It's definitely convenient to say the least, but the prices are crazy for chicken breast. But hey, I gotsa do what I gotsa do.

My god, I must be in grocery heaven hearing these prices. I am just one guy but I eat 7 meals a day almost all of the time, and I spend a little over $200 a month on groceries for myself.

Are you all including supplements in this too? I probably spend another $100 on vitamines, carb gels, and whey/egg protein every month.

I just found a great health food store that has all my wonderous organic needs also so that will probably up my bill a significant amount because I'll be buying in smaller amounts with greater frequency and organic foods are all more expensive.

MAN! I Shop at super walmart for normal stuff. I used to get my produce at a place called henrys but whole foods (those stingy bastards) bought em and shut them down. I refuse to pay 3 dollars for a flippin red pepper. . . I'm a broke entreprenure but even if my venture blows up, I'm never shopping at that fufu wallet crushing store of yuppies!
now i'm forced to eat crappy tasting broccoli sprayed with god knows what kind of chemicals that will force me to sprout an 11th toe when i drink milk on a full moon!
    [/rant]

I spend like 75 a week. Unless i'm reuppin my supps then like 150.

The Walmart out here even has organic stuff now.

Yeah i just bought some of walmarts organic stuff :/ Its nothing like sprouts/henrys/whole foods/AJ's
Walmart has "lesser" organic foods. Its like they sold all the good organic stuff to those other places and pawned off the midget veggies to walmart.

I wish we had a sprouts out here... or a sunflower :/ The closest thing is an AJ's on 69th ave and that place is in the middle of a bitter price war with whole foods on who has the most expensive greenery.

yea, AJs and Wholefoods are super overpriced. I typically go to Sprouts or Trader Joes. I have never been to Sunflower, but I have heard that it was a good place to shop.

Actually, the Frye's Markey place near my house is huge and has lots of good stuff.

Holy God! Yours is an amazing story!

My sister just had gastric bypass surgery (like 6 months ago) she was somewhere like 260lbs at 22/23 years old. I tried my hardest to get her into the gym so the fitness lifestyle bug would bite her. I just think she didnt believe it was possible to achieve the success that you are proud to experience.

I wish I had your story to show her back in the day...

One of the biggest reasons that people fail on their fat loss/lifestyle goals is that they can't envision themselves as that leaner, healthier person. They only think that they are this overweight, over fat person and that is how it is for life "it is my genetics". They sabatoge themselves before they even beging....START WITH THE END IN MIND!

So true - I had that same problem 2 years ago going into college. Was like 245lb and not having a lot of luck losing it. Then over winter break I got incredibly sick and lost 45lbs in roughly 3 weeks (healthy right? ) After that I saw myself without all the extra fat and thought it was awesome, so I kept going with it. 159-164lbs now depending on water weight, but some of that is muscle I have put on too

This was hard for me but the harder part was seeing myself as the 100 pound lighter person. It took a long time to not see fat Heather in the mirror anymore! When that finally happened, it was pretty damn amazing
