Whole grain breads will be a better choice over whole wheat.

There is no comparison. Most supermarket breads are nothing more than glorified white bread.

When I have bread once in a while I usually go with whole-grain, but the sprouted looks good from what I've read up on the net.

Is sprouted grain available in your average grocery store, or would one typically only find this in a whole-foods / natural store?

I can get sprouted breads in my grocery store. Look for Ezekeil by foods for life. Seem to be carried in most places.
