Do you really need 70 g of protein in one meal?
You take a can of tuna (in water) and drain it, and then add a tablespoon of light miracle whip and a cup of low fat cottage cheese. Mix it all together and wow.
Not to mention about 70g of protein here and 10g of fat.
I do my best to focus on the task at hand, and give 100% in what I'm doing at the time. Nothing else matters except the task at hand.

No kidding 70g of protein. You are going to store it as fat at that rate.
ok lets all turn off the serious button boys and girls.
If I meant it I would have said something like, Hey Iandaniel I'm sick of your opinion stay out my thread you annoy me. I was just kidding around, cause he always bust my balls in my diet threads but its actually been helpful, so its all good.
One thing you can always count on from me is honesty, life is too short to beat around the bush. I say whats on my mind.
Jodi- I typically have 50g of protein per meal in order to hit my daily requirment. This I just stumbled onto and it tasted good so I dug it. Can 20g of protein make that big a difference. I still dig it, so I'll just cut out some of the protein or better yet split into two meals as a side or something.

I've actually gotten a lot better at calorie intake and incorporating veggies and fruits into my meal with a good protein source. I'm just slowly increasing my calorie intake. I don't want ot jump from 2000kcal to 300kcal in a weeks time.
The tale of the tape for my above mentioned snack is as follows:
397kcal
5g fat
8g carb
73g protein
completely unbalanced and such, but man its good. Perhaps saw this in half and bring in a cup of brocolli for the win.

In fact I haven't Jodi. I was under the idea that whatever your body didn't use protein wise it got rid of. Ok laugh I know I know.
I'm 240lb 6' BF north of 20%, what do you think my carb intake should be per meal. I eat six times.
I had been told to try and take in 1-1.2g of protein per pound of body weight. So for me thats 40g per meal at minimum.

Hm, protein intake should be balanced on lean body mass at that bf I think.
I think 1.2 g per pound of lbm will do.
Total weight x 0.8
If that is correct, I'm carrying around 48lbs of fat and 192lb of LBM at 240lb total body weight.

1G protein per pound of bodyweight. Anything else is a waste.

How many meals a day with 30G carbs?
What kind of meal can you eat that has only 30G of carbs, beside a 4 .oz of chicken brest and a 12 oz of salad?
Jodi you need to make a cook book, you have great info when it comes to meals.
Hi Jodi,
I'm curious - what is the source of that number? Why 40g instead of 30g or 80g? Does it matter what kind of protein you are consuming? There's a pretty big difference between the usability of egg proteins and legumes, for example.
Thanks for any insight you can share,
