Help! Im on antibiotics and theyve given me digestion problems

Ive just started a course of antibiotics, which I need to stay on, and they've nearly given me diarrhea.

I have fruit and veg, for apples and celery but I'm assuming I need more roughage in my diet to help with my bowel problems.

I think celery is good but are there any other foods that are particularly good?

Any help on this would be really appreciated as you an imagine it isn't too pleasant.
I love it when a plan comes together.

Antibiotics will also kill the good bacteria that aid in digestion. Eat a lot of yogurt to help re-introduce that good bacteria. Generally speaking the juicier the fruit, the higher the amounts of fructose. Fructose also causes diarrhea so aim at fruits like bananas.

For juice watch out for apple juice, pear juice and cherry juice – the high sorbitol sugar content of these juices can worsen diarrhea. White grape juice is a good juice chioce.

Lactose in milk is a big cause of diarrhea too so try to avoid milk while you are on your antibiotics.
