    Peanut Butter in diet

Some people are strict on no carbs after 7pm or sumthing like that but would it do much harm to have a peanut butter sandwich after lifting around 8 or 9 at night? Also can it be used as a lunch or dinner, peanut butter and bananna maybe?

If you are lifting at night, forget the no carb rule, I don't care what people say, you MUST have carbs after a work out. A PB sandwich is not the answer though.

    Try Oatmeal and whey .

Natty PB if a good source of fat and some protein. The other stuff (commercial PB) has sugar and poor fat sources. As far as when to eat PB, I say any meal that you need to add fat to. I avoid any significant fats in my post workout meal as I want the meal to be digested quickly.

I always add a spoonful of Natty PB here and there to meet caloric requirements. Love it.

As long as you mean organic PB and not sugarbutter.

I see no problem with carbs in the evening if you train at night. What it is going to come down to is Cals in vs cals out.

However a PB sandwich after a workout is far from ideal.
