Just starting out and need info please?

Hey everyone!! To start off, I am a female, 25 years old

My question is what is the best way to burn fat?? I know that muscle burns fat and I have recently joined the gym but due to some medical problems I have a good bit of weight to loose. I went out yesterday and bought myself some whey protein. Is there anything better that I should take? I dont really want to build toooo much muscle my main goal at this time is burning fat. Any suggestions???? THANKS!!!

I also have a good deal of trouble knowing what to eat and not eat. I have given up sodas for water and lipton diet green tea I will have an occasional diet dr. pepper I am not big on sweets either although I do get that chocolate craving ... HEY im a girl!!!! *laughs*

Not sure why this isn't in the stickies as it use to be, BUT...

Read this. It will get you going.

The attatched shopping list is essentially your bible at the grocery store.

Digest the info there and then come back .

Read the stickies. Assuming you eat 3 meals a day; take your current meals and divide in two. You will be eating the same amount of food over 6 meals. Eating about every 3 hours. Loosing fat is mostly diet. Metabolizim (sp) is also a factor, and eating smaller meals over the course of the day will increase your metabolizm. So you can do that now until you digest the stickies (yes pun intended) and then adjust your diet from there.

I'm a damn terrible cook, but it's still hard to mess up chicken on a foreman or making some kind of simple beef dish. Hell the thing I mess up the most is the damn rice leaving it on the heat too long or too much water - really should buy a rice steamer.

It's not as hard as you think once you start doing it.

    Ditto.

It's hard to mess up oats, eggs, tuna, etc. If you wanna make sure you eat clean keep it simple - only have those kinds of foods in the house. Whole, nutritious foods that are easy to cook.

yea, I can do a dang good baked chicken. Its hard keeping stuff thats good for you in the house because I live with my mom and I have a 15 year old sister......... they arent on a diet or watching what they eat. My mom really needs to gain weight and my sister is fine where she is. I like tuna and stuff ... but oats i cant deal with.
