its not very common in the states but its popular in mexico:
Panela: Fresh Hispanic-style cheese with flavor similar to Cottage Cheese, but with firm texture. Softens but does not melt when heated. Use in sandwiches, salads, with fruit, and in cooked foods. Panela cheese - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia pic tastes good ![]() |
