    too much fiber?

    is too much fiber bad? how many grams should a 250lb male looking to lose weight have?

    Too much fibre (I'm English!) is only bad if it's not accompanied by sufficient water. Fibrous veggies have sufficient water built-in. Bran, powdered linseeds & psyllium/isphagula husk don't have water built-in.

    since fiber carries a lot of water with it, it lead to dehydration if you're not drinking enough water. The majority of people do not get enough fiber in their diets. You would have to be taking in 40+ grams a day to be getting too much. I wouldn't worry about it.
