TOTAL Fat Loss.....AKA Once were fats!!!

I've gotten to meet some neat people here on the site that have great stories of weight loss and overcoming years of bad habits. I know everyone is deifferent, but how long did it take you to achieve your goal weight and what was your total loss. I know some set their goals to put on size and muscle, but for this thread I'm more interested in fat loss since thats what I'm here for right now. I'll start.

My goal is 190lb and 10-12% BF. I figure it should take me roughly 12-18 months to accomplish my goal. I am just about three months in now.
I do my best to focus on the task at hand, and give 100% in what I'm doing at the time. Nothing else matters except the task at hand.

I want to be around 180 and the same BF% goal as you. 10 - 12% would be ideal. I am about 191lbs right now and not really sure about my BF. Gotta get that measured soon.

Shouldn't take me too long from where I'm at right now.

It took me a little over a year to go from 295 down to 155...but that was before I knew anything about training or diet. I basically didn't eat very much and did hours of cardio everyday. I'm at 214 now, my ideal weight while training is about 205.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain...

Jesus thats incredible. You must have eaten like 1000 calories a day and ran everyday non-stop. Sounds like your at a healthy weight and on a solid program now though.

Was 245lbs I think 2.5 years ago, now around 150. That was all just from not even eating clean, just not eating shit.

Now that I'm eating clean, I'm hoping to cut off the last few % of bodyfat to hit 9-10%.

Never have really done scheduled cardio, always just played racquetball when I could and did weightlifting. Will be starting to run as soon as I find a good pair of shoes though since I want some stamina.

I forgot to mention I capped out at 260ish lbs before I started my lifestyle change. I am now 188.5 lbs with a 32 inch waist. 71.5lbs and 8 inches off the waist. I feel fucking amazing.

I'll bet bro, I'm aiming to be near the same weight and waist this time next year.

I was 300 in Nov of 05. Now I am 170. I am very meticulous about diet and workouts. The toughest thing to give up was beer. I think it was actually eaiser when my wife left than to give up beer. Now it was the best thing I did in both respects!!
I never eat out or eat foor that other people prepare. If I don't know the calories, then I simply don't eat it. Also I never, ever miss a workout unless I am injured or something. Even then I will probably just work thru it.
Outside influences are tough to fight off. People alway offer me food and candy and this and that. They are not doing it to be mean, it's just or society. I think if I were still married I never would have been able to do this.

Great work on your achievments. Yeah the beer can be a burden if not governed properly. Personally for me I set aside one weekend evening that I will go out with friends and tip a few back. Far better than the six days a week I used to tip them back.

I started in 2001 weighing somewhere around 280 (I stopped weighing at that time.) Today I'm at 165. I did BFL for a while, followed a cutting diet for a while then finished the loss with Weight Watchers (eating a cleaner diet.) I'm lifetime with them and am following a cutting program again (the one I posted on here.) I maintained during 2006 within 5 pounds of where I am today and have now started losing again. My BF back then was around 45% and today is 21%. I have a journal buried here if you want to know more Good luck to you!
