Question about fat intake

I am a 28 year old, 5'11, 165lbs, male. I watch what I eat very carefully. I only take in around 20 grams of fat a day and sometimes a lot less. What I am trying to get at Should I be supplementing my fat intake with nuts or flax seed oil, or something to that effect. For a little background I work out everyday, cardio one day then weight training the next.

You need more fat. I get anywhere from 70-150grams a day. Just make sure it's good fats. Non-saturated.

Adjust your carbs to stay lean.

How about nuts? Is there something I should look for monosatureaded fat(spelled that wrong)? Or something to that effect.

I also eat a diet extremely low in fat.......just a force of habit, old school bodybuilding. I'm trying to comply with all of the latest research on the importance of consuming enough EFA's for anabolic activity, but I still forget my flax and fish oil supplements sometimes!

How much should I take of the flax seed oil? Should I just bring my intake up to 40 to 60 a day of good fat?

I would make fats 30% of your total calories. You can choose from sources such as flax seed oil, safflower oil, e/v olive oil, walnut oil, hemp oil, etc. & peanut butter, nuts, egg yolks, full fat mayonaise & cream.
