    Lean Steak.

I checked on fitday. This lean steak seems an amazing thing to add in a diet for not sure cut or bulk.

    Nutrition Facts
    Total Fat 12.8g
    Saturated Fat 4.15g
    Saturated Fat 4.15g
    Monounsaturated Fat 4.7g
    Total Carbohydrate 0g
    Protein 45.09g
    plus lots of vitamins

Its all nice and all but i was wondering How exactly would you cook this? Im no chef and Im lost in this one. And do you think its a good food to add for cutting..

Just one question. Our body is known to make the 20 essential proteins out of 28. DOes anyone know the names of the other 8 proteins, or where exactly to look for them.

    -Thanks

What is a lean Steak? What cut is it a Flank?

Cut or Bulk would be fine, just make sure the Cals/Macros fit into your plan.

    Thanks Nigeepoo.
And i saw this on fitday so I am adding it to my diet, It has most of what I need in my diet and low fat. If i add this, my cut diet becomes balanced and proper.

I'll try and ask for help on how to cook this from foods teacher.

I'm guessing that a lean steak is a steak with all the visible fat removed.

But what cut? A Tenderloin, Sirloin, Flank, Blade. Any cut of meat can have visable fat trimmed, but some meat have more marbling through the meat.

True. But it seems like most good steaks are easier to cook. I had a giant Top Sirloin last weekend. How is that anyway? As far as a cut, etc. It didn't matter because it was pretty much a cheat meal. I have a steak every Sunday, but was curious what the better cuts would be as for health wise.

The best way to cook a steak at home:

-heat a tefflon frying pan for five minutes
-throw salted & peppered steak on the surface for about 45 seconds per side; this sears the steak and forms a gentle crust
-take it off the frying pan
    -let frying pan cool
-fry on medium flame for 3-4 minutes per side

**don't add any oil. you can cut off a piece of fat from the steak and let it melt and use that instead of oil

Top Sirlion is pretty cheap. I can get organic top sirlion for 5 bucks a pound. I got a huge one the other day for about 6.50 It didn't seem to have much fat, but the t-bones, for example, always seem to have tons of fat (and price) on them.

    some good cuts

    eye of round steak
    top round steak
    inside round steak
    top sirloin steak
    flank steak
Tenderloin (even though it has some more marbling) it just tastes too good.

Exellent. Mostly cuts I usually get.

Health wise how bad is it to have one serving of steak a day? I generally try to stick to the chicken and fish, but at some point may incorporate a cut of steak into my diet.

Yeah...why is steak not the best choice for a cut?
