How much protein in one sitting is too much?

You see, I just had my lunch. It was soooo good...

I had about 8oz of lightly breaded baked chicken breast, baked plantain pie with ground beef, and avocado salad. In all I think I just consumed around 90 grams of protein. Is that too much? Am I shooting myself in the foot by eating such a heavy lunch? My goal is b/f loss.

Lunch is generally my heaviest meal of the day and I will not eat until about 4 hours from now.

    Prior to lunch I had:

-Isopure zero carb whey + apple for breakfast
-Muscle Milk couple of hours ago..

See that piece of string? How long is it? Did you feel uncomfortable eating that much food? If so, don't pig out next time. If not, no probs. That meal will take a while to digest, so it will slowly drip-feed amino acids into your body. It's not like 90g of protein suddenly entered your circulation or something.

Well, I didn't feel uncomfortable, but I certainly felt very satisfied. It was a nice big square. So if it takes me five hours to digest, I guess I'm all good?

One meal does not make a whole diet. So yup, you're all good.

I think it is pretty excessive if you are looking for body fat loss. I never eat more than 4-5 oz of meat in one meal.... and I wouldn't have it lightly breaded.

I think more smaller meals would work a lot better for improving metabolism.

90 grams is too much, normally the benchmark is 40grams per meal

    I wouldn't stress over it.

    I also wouldn't make it a habit.

I know where you're coming from. When I have steak, I can't have a 5 oz cut or any shit like that. Give me the 16 oz'er!

I think this really depends on the size of the person. I personally never eat a piece of meat (chicken, turkey, steak) that is smaller than 6-8oz. I'm 6'1" 245lb, 20%BF.
I do my best to focus on the task at hand, and give 100% in what I'm doing at the time. Nothing else matters except the task at hand.

Sorry, but the bigger the meal, the slower it digests, so the body receives the 90g of proteins spread out over a larger number of hours.

It's not an injection of 90g of amino acids straight into a vein!

There is an upper limit to how much food you can cram in, in one go. iMan323 has not reached that limit. Obviously, eating like this at every meal is not conducive to losing body-fat. It's only one meal, though.

I take in anywhere from 30-50 per meal. Normally spread over 6 meals it works out for me.
