Post Grilled Food

Everyday in my daily diet, I'll eat at least Grilled Chicken once since it's low in fat and high protein. Because of this, I got scolded by my mum as she said that eating Grill food is unhealthy, and will cause cancer if being consumed too much. Can someone plz tell me she's wrong?

I can't be sure it doesn't cause cancer, however it certainly can't be as bad as cigarettes or asbestos. I can't believe she scolded you for that. What does she eat?

Lift well! But don't forget to put it down afterwards.

I'm with Wax on this one. I love food on the grill. Chicken, steak, fish, whatever. Just stay away from burning the food. I think your mom is over reacting.

Maybe if you put the lighter fluid directly on the food.

Question

Does she have some reasoning for this? What about being grilled causes cancer?

Just because the majority believes it, does not make it true!

there is truth to this. i'm not sure why but grilling over an open flame is supposed to be bad. you could always use a grill pan and achieve the same results without having to worry about the open flame.

Which do you think will kill you faster? Eating greasy fried chicken or grilled skinless chicken breast. Go figure!

I remeber seeing something on this a long time ago, I think it had something to do with eating burnt meat though, just don't over cook your meat or use chemical type logs to burn with.

Personaly, I think your better off grilling than frying anyday.

for some reason, yes!
I still believe that a grill pan is a reasonable alternative.
