    Diet Critique

Hey folks, I would like a little diet feedback if poss??

I'm afraid I haven't calculated the numbers so please just take a look and tell me if there is anything glaringly obvious in terms of nutrition that I'm missing out or overdoing. This is working for me so far and I'm dropping weight at a comfortable rate, about 6.5 lbs a month for the last 6 months, but all feedback appreciated.

Stats: Male, Healthy (I hope), 30, working out for a couple of years, 180lbs, 6ft1 , currently cutting. Working out 3 times a week, 30 mins of cardio 4 times a week.

Goals: Currently 'top ab' pair showing - i want to get down to about 170 and hopefully see some more ab definition.

    Meal 1:

    Cup of Oatmeal
    5 eggwhites
    3 Fish Oil Caps
    1 Multi Vit.

(I put some coffee creamer in my coffee and oatmeal for a little fat)

    Meal 2

    Protein Shake
    About 6 strawberries
About 1/2 a cup of berries
1/2 a cup of Brown Rice

    Meal 3:

    45g Buffalo Meat
    1 Sweet Potato
Lots of veggies (green/red/orange pepper, cucumber, squash, carrots, sprouts, broccoli)
    2 fish oil caps

    Meal 4:

    Same as Meal 3

    Meal 5:

Packet Tuna + Mayo (not too much)
    Cup of Brown Rice
    some veggies

    Meal 6:

2 cups of cottage cheese mixed with nuts.

Water Intake - Around a gallon a day

    Thanks in advance!

You diet looks pretty good at first glance, but you are lacking fats. What is packet tuna?

Your diet seems like a lot to swallow really, are you on a bulk?? Also why the brown rice (carbs) so late in the day? (meal 5)

I thought it was important to get p/c/f in every meal. You think this needs to be less...or none?

As you progress through the day the carbs need to drop and by meal 5 they should be little to none. They are helpful in metabolising protein but often get stored more as fat when you consume them later in the day.

Are you on a bulk? Also when does your workout fit into this?

Hmmm...ok, I'll take that into consideration and modify accordingly, thanks!

No, I'm on a cut. I should probably figure out the numbers so sorry. Like I said, I've been dropping about 6-8 lbs a month so I'm not sure if it would be healthy to eat less than this??

Workout it usually 30 mins after meal 3 followed by PWS (not mentioned in above).

Cardio is usually done either after breakfast or 30 mins after meal 5.
