    1. Any health food store

    2. Most of us probably use it. I myself either use flax or pumpkinseed oil.

    3. Drink it. Add it to shakes or anything liquid is easiest. You can also add flax seeds to oatmeal or salads. It has a funny taste at first but you get used to it.

but don't try to cook with it!

i barely notice the taste in shakes.
    it's not bad with tuna
i also like it over steamed brocolli

    remember to keep it refrigerated.

I have read on a holistic site, some people like to mix it with cottage cheese. I think the point being made was to mix it with a high protein item, although since your going to be eating protein at every sitting I take it thats not a problem.

As far as the taste and 'getting used to it'...

IT NEVER HAPPENS! I can stand the most bland of bland diets, but flax is one of those things I dread having to take. Even my heaviest and tastiest bulk shakes suddenly become gag-able when you add flax.

    BUT

The benefits outweigh the taste-test values...

I'm sure Barry Sears said flax was a piss-poor source of omega-3.

    Get fish oils!

Truth is that Flax is 54-57% N-3 (Omega 3) and IS a very good source.

Fish oil as TCD says, is perhaps better. Not only does it have a better compostition of EPA nd DHA, it assimilates easier in the body...particualry as we age. Those on Dr. Mercola's E-mail list (w8, have a link please?) will be privy to the recent research on fish oil, especially along the lines of Cardiovasular Health, Brain Function, and Depression!

My suggestion, vary your fats, watch your balance of Omega 6s to 3s!

TCD, you can make an argument for anything! Sears contends that Flax raises Arachadonic acid levels, throwing off Prostaglandin and Eicosanoid balance......another could argue that AA raises Test values, and that's a good thing....so don't worry about it!

Bill Logue, Barry's Brother-in-law and former owner of PR Ironman, insists his research shows that a 4 to 1 ratio of N-6 to N-3 where the 6s come from borage (GLA) and the 3s are marine is the "best" combo. Then Udo Erasmus has other opinions, IMO (and Di Pasquale's) he is totally wrong to add MCTs to his formula....so the point is:

It's all good, "good fats" that is!

I still say, "Vary Your Fats!

...yeah, and another could argue that arachadonic acid is responsible for pain and swelling.

...You could also argue that arachadonic acid is a possible stimulant for hypertrophy via PGE2 conversion.

I'm not going to though. lol.

That`s what I`m going to look at tomorrow

They have got a "real site" in Osaka and Tokyo where you can`t actually buy them, but you can go and have a play with them.
