You need a combination of protein, fats, and carbs to grow. There is no substitute for carbs. You need them.
Hi all,
I have just been on a really effective diet and have lost 3 stone (42 Ib), While on the diet I haven’t done any weights as it was a low carb diet so didn’t really feel like training. Now that I have lost the weight I am really keen to get some muscles back, as I am now looking a little puny (in my eyes) I am currently putting a diet plan together to help me gain some size but I am so worried about gaining FAT, after all my hard work!
If I keep my carbs to a minimum do you think it will delay my results even if I keep my proteins nice and high? Any tips for striking a good balance would be gratefully received,
Many thanks,
Iain

Yeah, I need the carbs but only want enough to grow, just don't want the excess to tun into fat.
Well thats what you got to figure out. It is tough to learn your body, but your body is just that, "YOURS", and once you figure your body out you can do some good things.
