I think i've been basing all my ideas on the wrong web site...I don't want to be a body builder, athletic and lean is my goal. Sorry I wasted everyones time here, ya'll really cleaned up my diet from when i first arrived here. Learned much about nutrition. Thanks for everything.

It's your call, but you do realize that the mods here can help you reach those goals too - it's not like they *only* know how to create a bodybuilding physique.

Although its good to ask questions and learn things, it's also your job to read, read, read. There is tons of information on these forums, you just need to keep reading until you find information relevant to your goals.

i still contend that for the general population, one should train more like an athlete (athletic person) than a typical 'bodybuilder'

Despite my best efforts to change my training/diet...there is always a weak spot in what I do. My goals change every 2 days, I know I can get strong whenever I want, but I always wanted to get cut. After trying to change my diet around, all I think about is food and what i'm going to eat next, how long till I can eat, should I train in between this meal or that meal. I'm confusing myself more now than I was coming into this. And now that I'm having my wisdom teeth pulled tomorrow, which I will be inactive for a week, my diet is subpar at best from the feedback I have been getting. At this point, all I can do is stop asking questions and just read I guess and train my ass off till im not able to train anymore. Stupid idea, but that's all I got for ya. Any help here's my diet the last two days: FitDay.com - Diet and Fitness journal for zonaguy03

Check out yesterday's and today's foods. I still have a few more meals coming up, but that's about all I can do: record everything I eat, the activities I participate in, and hope for the best I guess.

WTF are you talking about Zonaguy? Either eat healthy or don't. Pretty simple.

Write down your planned meals, then stick to them. Refer to your log/journal if you forget what you need to eat. Same for training if needed. That takes care of the "what".

Set a recurring alarm on your cellphone for every 3 hours, or whatever interval you're using for meals. That takes care of the "when".

You can train whenever you'd like, it is just "optimal" to train after eating certain foods. If the burden is too large, then cut out this part. The only thing I would recommend is not training within 40m of eating, but that's personal preference.

I have my wisdom teeth pulled tomorrow (the little wisdom if any that I have) so basically im inactive for a week to let the wounds heal. I'm going to print off all the stickies posted under "dieting" so hopefully I can stop with the bullshit threads that are nonsense. As Larry the Cable Guy always says 'GET ER DONE'
