Keep the carbs low on drinking nights. Do more cardio when you aren't drunk.

You don't want zero carbs on a night when you will be drinking, because you may lack energy. But cut the carbs in half, and you should be OK. If you are drinking every day you are gonna look like shit. But if you are doing it 3 days a week or sometihng like that then you can get away with just reducing carbs.

Also, when you get drunk, try to just eat meat, keep off the chips and bread. But you will probably black out and not remember any of that....... well who cares?

Well this is what I do, and I'm an alcoholic but I'm in pretty good shape.

Circuit train for your weight lifting every other day, and the other days do cardio. every 3 days take a day off.

and the meal before you drink: eat a steak or a big piece of meat. eat like a piece of bread or a little red potato and then eat a salad or some nice veggies. then start drinking and its all over.................................

Man up and put the beer down. Nothing in life is free. You want to get fit? It's going to cost you your bad habits, and some hard work.

Go ask the same question the steroid forum. There must be some way you could get injectable alcohol one would think. I bet someone here knows a doctor or two.

I love the suds just as much as the next guy, but like P said you have to be real. Sounds like putting the bottle down might be a good thing for you.

I've personally adopted a little thing I call "The Self Betterment Plan", and yes for our discussion betterment is a word. This goes back to college days, my roommate and I would obstain from all drinking for 45 days. The idea behind this is that most if not all alcoholics slip into a pattern and often won't admit they have a problem until its way too late. As we've both said, if ever we try and dry out and its an issue we'll call the other. Its been eight years and I still do this plan, though honestly I think I do it more like 90 days at a time.

I want a flat stomach more than I want to get hammered. Please don't mistake my comment here, I love a good party, but right now my goals are different. I'm now off my soap box and back on firm ground. PUT THE BEER DOWN AND START SWEATING DUDE!!!!!
I do my best to focus on the task at hand, and give 100% in what I'm doing at the time. Nothing else matters except the task at hand.

Hmmm I think you should shave the belly hair. I really draws one attention to your beer belly. Not to say it's a real bad beer belly, but the hair isn't helping.

I was under the impression that an extract that some recently discovered tribe has been using since before the creation of the earth has been isolated and is now being used to help people do everything wrong and still get ever-improving results.

i'm saying that if you will be drinking heavily in a give night, try to keep your carb intake very low or not at all. still eat meat and veggies though. this will minimize the bad effects of the beer. if you still can't lose weight, even though you are eating healthy and doing a lot of cardio, then you are drinking too much beer. but it can be done.

i look at it this way:

"i want results. however, i enjoy doing certain things, that seem to get in my way. is it possible to reorganize other parts of my life so that i can still get results, even though i am doing some things wrong?"

I think yes. We all do things "wrong," that prevent us from achieving 100% optimal results. We are human, and sorry to say it guys, but weightlifting and diet are not the only important things in life. Now if you think having beer is more important than having a 100% strict diet, well then that's your decision. The beer isn't going to help, but if you eat correctly and exercise regularly, you will be better off than someone who drinks a case a day and doesn't do shit.

I feel you on the beer but limiting it helps alot, plus you'll have a lower tolerance so you don't have to buy as much.

become a lightweight first, then you can get hammered off one beer, like me...but i don't drink anymore, goals more important than a beverage that isn't beneficial to ones health.
It's not who you are underneath, it's what you do that defines you.
