    post cardio

On my days off from lifting I usually get in my cardio. I have been doing 2 scoops whey protein and an apple. Is this too much protein for a post cardio workout?(im on a cutting diet, please don't ask to look at my overall numbers, I don't count calories) I usually have oats with yogurt and some egg whites with some steamed broccoli as my next meal 45 minutes after my post workout meal. Any suggestions on changing any of that?

So you are on a cut, but have no idea on the calories you are consuming?

How do you monitor your progress, and make adjustments?

That said it is a good idea to have something post cardio. How much depends on your daily requirements

It's a psychological thing with me...once i start counting calories, i become overwhelmed, then lose gains because it's too stressful. I have limited my intake on certain foods, cut things out of my diet, and have eaten a little bit less than what I was doing when I was maintaining my weight. I have seen outstanding gains just by this, training hard, staying active throughout the day, and just eating healthy with the meals provided from a variety of different diets posted on here.

Well that is good, I am glad you have found a way that works for you. This is all about a learning experience. Taking steps to work towards a happier you.

As you get more in tune with your eating habits, it won't be as overwhelming. Congrats though, eating properly can be a difficult task after years of eating whatever you please.

I think coming back home to my parents' place in Chicago has really made me stronger and has tested me as to what I consume throughout the day. They are always ordering out, deep dish pizza, going to get ice cream...stuff we always used to do when I was a kid. It goes to show that if you really truely have a goal in mind that you would do anything for, eating healthy should come fairly easy if you keep that goal in mind, and it sure does feel a hell of a lot better! I now enjoy my days more than ever.

One thing about living in NJ, except for the shore, which is where I live now, its that you can get amazing pizza. Especially in Belleville and Newark.

I am in the middle of contest prep. I only have 2-3 slices once every 2-3 weeks. It kills me that i dont allow myself these treats every week, but if I start on one slice, then it gets progressively worse.
