The 6 mini-meal deal

Ok, so I know that I'm supposed to have 6 small meals a day to increase the speed of my metabolism, but how many calories do you guys recommend be eaten in each of these 5-6 meals and how often do I eat these? 2 hours? 3 hours? Also, please keep in mind that I am a fairly big boy, so i get hungry kinda fast. Lastly, what happens if I have eaten the small meal and then I am hungry soon after? Do I eat more or should I do something else?



Height: 5' 8" Weight: 185 lbs
Bench: 210 lbs Squat: 235 lbs Clean: 175 lbs

You have obviously not read the stickies... all those questions are covered. I think Jodi's "Guide to Cutting, Bulking, and Maintenance" should be a mandatory read before being able to post in this section.......

As far as how many calories; take the number of calories you need for the entire day and divide it evenly... as a start. Tweak from there depending on where you may need more calories, like before a workout for example.

That is a good start. You can also decide also if you want to have more cals in the morning and taper down over the day. Similar with carb intake.

Look through the stickies, work out your true bodyweight, add on the ammount of calories your body burns exercising and divide that by 6/8
