    Carbs during workout

    Hello

No i do not mean high glycemic carbs like glucose. I mean slices of sweet potatoes (the chestnut flavour ones) who have been cooked very well and are digested pretty easily.

Instead of taking these post workout with my protein shake , I tried today eating a slice of them with each exercise . It actually looked that it helped me having a smooth workout with larger pumps . When i finished i took my protein shake.

So , what ur idea around this? I am referring to weight lifting exercise.
PS No i dont take high glycemic carbs

why would you be eating something with fiber that will be digested slowly during your workout?

Yeah, I agree with P.....that really makes no sense at all. Due to the fiber your body has barely even begun digesting that after your workout so it's not doing anything for you during your workout. If you really think that SP will help, then eat it 1.5 go 2 hours before your workout.

When I workout at home I like to chug on a couple of beers as I go. When I'm done I put some steak or fish on the grill. Life is good. I've found the less I worry about all the diet and training BS (that changes all the time) the better I do.

Wouldn't that interfere with your NO sythensis because of the complex carb slowing things down??.. I'm saying it would and I'm saying a good NO supply is vital to good peformance. it's the nitric oxide fumes that relax your muscle walls to increase the amount of nutrient carrying oxygen that it recieves during exercise to fuel aanything that that exercise is meant to do for one from the pre- recovery feed hypertrpohy initiation - to energise you to work more because of the increase in energy and nutrients no doubt - to assist breathing and breath control which we knoww effects the efficiacy of our exercise to recovery and how we set up our base metabolism off that.
You probably will feel okay to workout like that but I agree with what both Jodi and P-funk said. You could do better .
