I use one yolk for 6 eggs... I guess it's preference.. I may just have 6 whites and throw in the fat elsewhere during the day's food

I like eggs with mostly whites. It has that fluffy white goodness look scrambled that I love. I just grind pepper on them and sprinkle on some Morton's Hot Salt to wake up the taste buds. While I take that couple of minutes for the eggs the instant grits and Folgers Coffee Singles are nuking to perfection. Breakfast in 3min.

3min? Jesus I throw my eggs on when I wake up and go take a shower. Come out and the first side usually isn't even done yet, and I cook them on 1 notch above half on the stove.

Poaching depending on how you like your eggs takes about 2 mins, boiling takes about 3 mins

Nope, shower is usually 10-15min or so including throwing some pants on. First side of my eggs usually takes about 20m, then 4-5m for the second side to finish up.

Holy shit, why not turn up the heat and do one thing at a time?

I love cooking eggs and I am really serious about it. If I mess up cooking an egg, nothing makes me more mad. Its kind of a 'tick' I have.

Frying them usually takes the least amount of time from start to finish.

Scrambled is second in terms of speed, but lowest on my list of taste.

Poached is what Ive been doing lately. I never have to seperate the yolk from the white cuz it hardens during the boil somewhat enough that I just throw out whats left on the plate.

Boiling takes the longest. And...actually, boiled eggs are the least tasty by themselves.

    I'm a shitty, shitty cook

I just spray some pam, throw 1 whole egg and and 1 cup of egg whites then go jump in the shower. Timing works out nearly perfect though so it's not too bad.

Boiled are pretty easy to down. Try boiling a doz when you have a spar 20 minutes and stick them back in the box. At 4 - 6 a serve , they wont even be around long to go off.

So i'm curious: what do you do with the yolks you don't eat? Or do you buy the container of whites? I have a real problem trying to choke down oats so I've been eating grits & eggs instead...

I mix it up from time to time. Right now I scramble them most often, but I occassionally hard boil them and eat them with black peppers and hot sauce. I usually eat 1-2 yolks with 5-10 whites.

When scrambling eggs, I separate the undesired yolks from the whites by hand from the bowl and just throw them down the sink. When hardboiling eggs, I take the yolks and throw them in empty cottage cheese containers and chuck them.

I throw the unused yolks into the garbage. Many feel like they are wasting money, but if you look into buying pre-packaged egg whites, you'll see you will save a lot of money by buying whole eggs and discarding the yolks.

I usually scramble 5 egg whites and 2 yolks.

When I do eat eggs I eat them whole. But I don't eat them very much- 2-3 times a month so it's no big deal.
