Doctor says I have high cholesterol

Should I stay away from chicken, and meat... and just stick to fish for proteins?
Just stay away from saturated, and of course trans fats, right?

Just to add, my dad had triple bypass heart surgery a few years ago... So I am scared it is gonna happen to me.

Beyond fucked up. >190 is considered high risk.

There is also thoughts that the Ratio of total Cholesterol to HDL is important.

LDL is the shit that clogs up the arteries

    HDL helps move LDL out.

I'm suprised they wouldn't give you a copy of the results for your records. I haven't had a problem (besides with my WBC once) and the doc always gives me my blood work results on paper so I can see where i've been and where im currently at.

Homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia is what it's called. She is immune to blockers.

I would have to say that your poising is paying off.
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.

Errrr uh I dunno what that is ... ya got me all on that one homey.

And I'm still trying to unknot my tongue after trying to pronounce Homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia but I did google it ... thanks for the input Jodi. My ex had cancer three times and chemo twice so her body chemistry is all outta whack.
