Hey Foodio, yeah, I like soup myself. Campbell's Chunky is my favorite. For instance, Beef with White and Wild Rice has 140 cals a cup (I drink about two). 1.5g fat, 23g carbs, and 8g protein, 70% Vit A. To me that's great for lunch. Add a protein shake and your in business. Now for the downside, 920 mg Sodium and (10mg Cholestorol which I am not so sure is bad). Salty! But I like my soup salty with a few crackers in it. So in other words, it's a high carb meal for me that is salty but very lean.

Lift well! But don't forget to put it down afterwards.

Question Soup for lunch

Hey,

Sometimes for lunch I just have vegetable soup (my lunches are always small).
Once in a while my vegetable soup will have a little bin of beef or chicken in it.

I was wondering:

1. Is soup in general good for you?

2. Do its positives outweigh its negatives (or vice-versa)?

3. What are the positives and negatives?

Thanks,
Foodio

Hey,

Thanks for the reply.

I eat Chunky once in a while, but I only eat one can (even though I can probably eat four).
However, most of the time I have one can of Campbells Vegetable Soup (without crackers). I’m not into bulking, I’m trying to lose weight in the area under my stomach and above my pelvis. I’m pretty happy with my body except for that area.

I only have soup for lunch twice a week, but I do know that the regular Campbells soup has a lot less calories than Chunky, so I only have Chunky once in a while.

P.S. Is there a way to preview a post before posting it in this forum?
