    Gaining weight.

Right now I am pretty lean. Im 15 years old, 5'7 and 136lbs. I wanna get up to the mid 140's. But what I need is some recipes and good foods to help me get bigger. Could anyone tell me what they personally like to eat to get bigger? And what is best to eat?

Another question. Why are carbs so important?

There are no magic foods that will make you put weight on, you need to focus on quantity but ensure they are good quality also. Eats lots of complex carbs, wholegrain breads, pasta, potatoes, oats etc and high quality protein sources, meat, fish, eggs, cottage cheese and milk to a lesser extent. Dont forgot your healthy fats aswell, omega 3's etc. Its a good idea to count your calories also, usually when you think your eating a lot your actually not eating much at all.

And to put it simply, carbs (especially complex carbs) are important for providing your body with the energy you need to workout.

All the recipes you are looking for are found in pages on top of pages in the stickies. There is also enough info to get you started on how to properly bulk (gain weight).

Thanks haha I read a bunch of the stickies. They helped alot! But one more question. I was looking at the smoothies. I came across this smoothie that was listed in a stickie.

    Mass Maker

    Ingredients:

    16 oz. whole milk
1/2 cup raw almonds - blend with milk only until creamy smooth
    1 large frozen banana
2 scoops of vanilla whey protein powder
1 tablespoon of Flax Seed Oil

Would this be a good smoothie? Or do you guys know any other better smoothies for me that would help me get bigger?
