    Economical egg protein powders?

I'm currently trying egg protein powder instead of whey for my shakes, and I'm looking for input on economical sources of egg protein powder. Of the brands I've tried so far, Carbolite tastes best by far, and it has 0 carbs, which is what I'm aiming for right now. So far, I've only found Carbolite in 1 pound containers @$17-18/pound -- a little pricier than the 10 pound bags of Optimum whey I had been using. Anyone know any good bulk sources of low-carb or no-carb egg protein powders?
There's one way to find out....

I buy all my protein at www.proteinfactory.com.
Egg white protein costs about $5.50 per lb, you can pick the sweetener and flavor.

This one is milk/egg, I found it in 30 pound bags for $149 which sounds about like the deal below. Not 0 carb however.

I would not use egg protein post workout...whey is recommend post workout due to the high ratio of BCAA's which aid protein metabolism along with stimulated the release of GH...

    Thanks for the replies!

Cytrix -- I looked briefly at protein factory before posting my question, but I didn't look closely enough, because I didn't find the info re: flavorings/sweetners, and I think I misread the carb content info. I thought they were saying 4.5 grams per 1 scoop serving, but once I input "100%" in the egg white protein box and made flavoring sweetener selections, I got a report that said 1.1 grams of carbs per serving. (That seems better, though I'm still not sure where those carbs come from, as egg whites don't contain carbs.)

Have you ever tried protein factory's egg white protein? Taste is not a huge factor, though I wouldn't complain if it tasted OK and mixed up pretty easily in a shaker bottle.

For this latest tweak to my cutting diet, I am eliminating whey shakes altogether for a while. On workout days, however, I take a boatload of BCAAs shortly before lifting.

Is thier flavoring added? If there is, that'll be some of your carbs.

I dunno about non-sweetened proteins except soy which I had years ago, its not popular anymore but doggon, that is one type of protein you just can't cover up!

Actually, one egg white contains something like .3 g carbs...so I guess it adds up

I use a mix of 30% egg white and 70% milk isolate for my shakes
    25 g egg white: 1.1 g. carbs, 20.6 g protein, 0 g fat
    25 g milk isolate: 0 g carbs, 22.4 g protein, 0.3 g fat
It tastes great, really. After my workouts, I mix it with whey protein. I just got banana flavored one today.

mesomorphin'...I've gotten egg white protein from the PF before it's not that bad. I can eat some pretty nasty shiat though, who needs flavor !

ps...DON'T stop taking whey post workout it is essential (it has the best amino acid profile for recovery) when compared to other protein sources...whey and BCAA's post work out KICK ASS !!!!
