If you need a jolt in the morning...

...what kind of coffee would you buy at.. lets say.. Starbucks?

I've been going there the sparingly this summer/fall because I've had this gift card and a new one opened up on campus that I like to study at. I usually go with iced coffee just because it's a taste I can tolerate, but I want to try something more wintery.

What warm coffee or tea would you get from Starbucks and feel safe drinking?

Just a regular drip-brewed coffee would be the most potent I think.

Tea doesn't have alot of caffeine in comparison to Coffee.

At Starbucks I get double+ shots of Espressos. I dont care for the taste of coffee, but if I need an energy boost, its less painful. However, their espressos arent very strong. Einstein Bros shots are way more potent.

Ive run out of Stimurex (ephedra) so Ive been using Monster Lo-Carb energy drinks. They get the job done, but my tolerance is increasing..

Expressos generally have less caffeine then a drip-brewed coffee.

Drip brewed? Even if I have multiple shots?

I dont like coffee at all really. I drink espressos cuz I know they are just "shots." Does drip-brewed coffee have more caffeine cuz its a larger serving?

True. They are a smaller serving.

Coffee is about 135mg per serving expresso is about 100 mg per serving.

So if you double up, you would get more. If you don't like the flavour just take some Caffeine pills?

Its an obvious question with a predictable obvious answer...but I dont know why.

I guess its cuz if I run out of pills, I may not have an available quick access to caffeine, but we can find a starbucks anywhere. Shit, my dog just opened one up.

Oh there are plenty of alternatives, like Endorush or Redline, but I have anxiety disorder. When certain caffeine amounts get to be too much, I can have a panic attack from that shit alone. On the other hand, I do need to be awake and aware sometimes (especially now cuz of school). So, I have to find a gray area when it comes to caffeine.

Whats odd is that ephedra rarely invokes anxiety. The only times it does is if I take it after a night of drinking or if I am already tense about something anyway. Although, caffeine will have the same results as well, but possibly worse.

I do feel a little something something with my Iced Coffee, I'll just try the non-iced version of what I get already. Thanks Iain.

Although, Akira. Next Brueggers I come across, I'm downing a couple of them shots.

I can't take ephedrine and Caffeine together, not a good combo for my personality. Tend to snap rather easy.

Get a venti blackeye at starbucks. It is a venti coffee with 2 shots of expresso added.

My starbucks habit is costing me around $150 a month.

I don't touch anything from Starbucks, for some reason I just don't like the taste. I get a Large Turbo (shot of espresso added) Iced coffee with skim milk and splenda from Dunkin. If that doesn't get you going, nothing will.

Personally, I can't stand the taste of coffee. Unless! it's in ice cream or chocolate.

I don't really like it either, but it's enjoyable to sip on while studying IMO.

    Coffee is delicious, admit it.

Brew it like jet fuel, lighten it just a little bit with some light cream and a small amount of splenda.

Hell yes, you must be flying with that. I would usually go for 2 cups of super strong instant coffee, it does the trick for me, but espressos are the king.

I love the taste of coffee and I love the jolt I get from it. I am a coffee snob, however. I only drink gourmet coffee at home. The taste of starbucks is good enough, but I go to them more for the espresso and convenience. The coffee I make at home is jet fuel. I know I am hitting at least 400mg of caffeine in my home coffee.

When they came back from vacation in Hawaii my parents brought me some Kona Coffee direct from the farm there. Possibly some of the most delicious coffee I've ever had. Miss it so much

    Bingo.

When I lived at home, I had Tassimo Espressos that were delicious, but when I go to Starbucks I am not there for the taste...just like when I go to the bar.

My local coffee shop makes really good coffee. Starbucks quality has went way down hill since they've gotten so big (just like most big chains do).
