    my weekend food

MBC and I went to Maine for the weekend. Some of the highlights of my feed fest:

    Friday night:
    1.5 lb lobster
stuffed mushroom caps covered with bacon
    rice pilaf
    two beers

    Saturday:
Tim Horton's coffee and fruit muffin
    pizza (mushroom and hamburger)
Ben and Jerry's cup of Heath Bar Crunch ice cream
baked halibut covered in hazelnuts (the best fish I have ever had)
    garlic mashed potatoes
some kind of hot walnut, cherry, and ice cream dessert
    two beers

    Sunday:
Tim Horton's coffee, fruit muffin, and plain bagel
    crabcake sandwich with fries
    pizza (mushroom and hamburger)

The lobster was the first time I ever tried it. I think I'll be having it again some time.

To be honest, I was a little disappointed in the coffee. I heard it was awesome, but I think Dunkin Donuts coffee is better. However, Tim's coffee is ready-to-drink, which was very nice. Dunkin Donuts coffee is so damn hot, you have to wait 20 minutes before you can drink it.

The muffins and bagel were excellent! But I was hoping they'd have breakfast sandwiches (they did not). I was in the mood for an egg and cheese bagel. Oh well.

That's why we haven't joined, and try $15,000.00 down $1,000.00 a month. Can you say "Fuq that!"?

    LOL! Holy SHIZZOT!!!!!!

    My lobster was $28.

$28 x 365 days = $10,220 to eat lobster every day at the Maine restaurant we went to.

    1000/month x 12 Divided by 365 = 32.88 day!!
    + the initial $15000.

Yep, I'd say they can afford to feed you lobster!!! And Filet, and Salmon......and................................... ................

I can't wait to move back to NH and me some lobster (and shrimp and scallops and haddock - best fish in the world)! Lina - you know the grocery stores will even cook the lobster for you for free. Yummy!

I also miss Dunkin Donuts coffee. Green Mountain is my favorite though. There are no Dunkins in Michigan. I thought Dunkins was everywhere?

I think it's too strong. Even when I water it down, it doesn't taste good. Their Irish cream is horrible!!!! But Green Mountain coffee is better than no coffee. I drink it when it's 2:00 in the afternoon and I am falling asleep at my desk.

If Krispy Kreme ever came to New England we'd be in trouble. Dunkins doesn't have very good donuts but I do like their bagels and muffins.

You can ship lobsters on dry ice. I know the Weathervane does it.

I had Caribou coffee when I was in Minnesota! They must be a big chain. Their coffee is strong too.

Green Mountain? I need to try it.

I love strong coffee. The pot for my expresso maker is way too small to fill my thermos.
