The Religion of Pre and Post Workout Nutrition.

Gang, here’s my latest article and thoughts on what’s all the rage these days in sports/bbing nutrition, pre and post workout nutrition. As usual, I take a different approach to the topic and attempt to remove the hype and hyperbole…Enjoy!

The Religion of Pre and Post Workout Nutrition.

By Will Brink

Pre- and post-workout nutrition is all the rage these days, and for good reason. For some, however, it’s become more than a science—it’s become their religion, or perhaps just a place to focus their OCD-like tendencies. Regardless, people have taken the topic of pre- and post-workout nutrition to a level that is not justified by the research, or at least not confirmed by the research that currently exists.

Excellent article! I have no data, but I tend to agree that regular old milk is great post-workout nutrition.

I don't believe the benefits of musclemilk warrant the price, but I do enjoy the taste, so I will drink a musclemilk shake made with whole milk for post workout during bulking phases, and I seemed to have had nice growth back then. Also, I was eating like a pig, so I can't contribute the growth to the PWS.

If you can manage to eat 6 meals a day, just time your workout to fall right between one of the 3 hours meal gaps, and you don't even need pre/post workout nutrition.
