    Eating at College

I'm going off to college in the fall and a little worried about my nutrition plan getting messed up. I asked if you can cook yourself meals in the residence halls and you're not allowed to. So that means I'm stuck with the dining food hall. I looked at a sample menu and sometimes its lacking a good source of protein or no good sources for carbs. It's either choosing between chicken nuggets or an italian sausage sandwich. I want a chicken breast or lean steak damn it with some brown rice. And people wonder why so many people pack on a "Freshmen 15"? What the hell am I suppose to do??

I'm going to the University of Delaware. I was hoping I can bring a Forman Grill and a Blender if they're not outlawed in the handbook.

I won't be home on the weekends. I read though that there is a grill station at the dining halls, I guess if you need a chicken breast or something they'll hook you up there. They also prepare the eggs in front of you so if you tell them 2 whole eggs and 4 whites I guess they'll honor your request. I guess it won't be as bad as I thought.

    Thumbs up

HEY! Oh thats very cool that they have a grill, and that they make your eggs or whatever right in front of you!! I am sure you can get your way then!! I am very impessed with you I must say!~ Being all worried about what your going to eat! thats cool! I wish I was like you when I started college. I lived w/ my Grandma when I went..and She loved to cook for me..and you know Grannys..everythings yummy, but everythings fattening. Even though I worked out everyday..I still gained 10 lbs. But when I got my own apt. I lost it all..and now I know what to eat!! GOOD FOR YOU!! I WISH YOU THE BEST! OH~~ AND HAVE FUN!!!!
