Soy Products,Tofu etc.

Hello Everyone,I recently heard that many are getting off the soy.Can anyone tell me the problem with it? High Fat? Carb? Is Whey a superior protein?
Lots of powders on the market contain Soy.Any recommendations as to the best ones. Thanks

Intersting read w8

Soy has also been linked to a decrease in the risk of both breast and prostate cancer as well. Something I think none of us want.

I know, I'm sure we could find just as many, if not more, articles pro-soy.

I still have not made up my mind. But I generally avoid it on a cut at the very least.

Soy "foods" yes....todays soy concentrates and isolates are proving to be estrogenic and goitertropic!

Another good read, just wondering how much is true

Either way, I`m not going to either increase, or decrease my soy intake

I only eat tofu once a week anyway

DP concentrates and isolates could very well be where the problem lies.

When I talk about soy, I never think in terms of suppliments.......just tofu, miso etc etc.....hell, I can`t even stand those puke inducing tofu burgers

BTW....my previous post was in reference to w8`s post...you just got in before me

I've been eating soy, tofu, ect. for about 8 years now, and i am perfectly healthy... I'm a vegetarian... so if it was all that bad for you all the vegetarians would be dying or whatever, but in all actuality vegetarians are some of the healthiest people around...

Thanks W8,
Lots of info and a good read.Time to back off on the Soy and get into Whey and egg whites.I find that soy drinks make me bloated and definitely feels hard on the body.
Unfortunately most protein powders have soy and sugars.Iv'e been using EAS and Myo Plex which seem good but sweet.
