Do you eat like a pig and never gain weight? Do you eat and look like a normal person? Do you eat nothing and see it on your belly the next day?

That will help answer your question.

A lot of people get confused on what a metabolism actually is. Your metabolism is (basically) how quickly your body performs chemical processes, ALL chemical processes. This does not only include exercise based reactions.

If you're talking about Resting Metabolic Rate then there are formulas and calculators all over the place. As for your own metabolism, whether it is fast or slow it depends on quite a few different things, including your fitness level and general health.

Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.

The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.

Are you referring to eco, meso and endomorph?

I've been overweight for a long time (since i was about 8) and i'm talking really fat. Until i started training i was 210lbs and extremely weak. Before this i was extremely lean (visible abs, albeit at a rather young age) and quite stocky for my size.

I naturally thought i was an endomorph, but since i started training, i've gotten very strong, very quick and leaned up nicely, so i'm starting to think i am actually a mesomorph who just spent too long with really shoddy eating habbits.

I realise that has no clear relevance to this thread, but i thought i'd tell you all anyway.

I'm just that kind of lad..

I knew someone that went through a similar change, overweight as a kid (not huge but definately fat), and into high school he leaned out (and filled out) very nicely.

you really just have to experiment and figure this out by trial and error, there are calculators that can give you a general idea of calories, but they're not very accurate due to the many variables that come into play.

you can try this one >>

..
I read somewhere that you can change your somatypes through weight training... so you think you were a mesomorph in disguise when you were younger? Not that you BECAME one due to weight training?

Can you show some Before and After pics for comparison?

I'm gonna try and get some new pics done after this cutting phase in about another 10-12 weeks.

I may have some of my 'fat kid' photos somewhere, but i dunno if they show me without a shirt on, cause i was really self-conscious about my body then.

Lina, i'm not 100% sure that i've always been one, but i was very lean and semi-muscular as a child (as silly as that sounds, i hope you catch the gist of what i'm saying) and then my diet turned shit and i got really fat and held it till i was about 16.

At the end of the day, i have nothing to prove to you or anyone on this board.

In fact, you should be greatful that i'm prepared to go out of my way to supply you with photos of myself for your viewing. You should also be patient.

No one's asking you to prove yourself to anyone...we just wanna see if you really cum w/ feathers

....yes, we'll forever be indebted to you for sharing your pics....though I must say I think I've known you long enough (and shown enough of myself to you) to warrant impatience

pood...the best thing for you to do, is log everything you eat for a week...every calorie and gram of p/c/f....if at the end of the week you haven't lost or gained any weight, this is your maintenance level for calories....then if you want to post the results, including your diet for the week...we can tell you what to change and how much in order to gain muscle and/or lose fat.
