    Olive oil

    i was wondering if it is okay to substitute olive oil for flax oil in my protein shakes? Oh and if so how much should I be getting in a day?

    That won't taste too good. Safflower would taste alright though. But they won't have the same health properties as flax. How much you take depends on the rest of your diet.

    I would not add any fats to protein drinks. Many people believe that adding fats slows down the modulation of certain proteins but that is based more on theory than anything scientifically proven. Some fats hamper the digestion and absorption of certain proteins by coating the lining of the stomach...

    Personally, I ingest my fats separately from my protein drinks..
    I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

    LAM do you take the fat before or after your protein?

    I would add fats to my protein meals

    I am just not sold on the idea of adding fats to protein drinks. I've never seen any nutritional study that proves otherwise nor have I seen any protein supplement that recommends doing so or one that includes a substantial amount of fat.

    I'm almost positive that the addition of medium-chain triglycerides will not render the same effect as adding pure long-chain triglycerides such as flax etc...
