Liquid meal replacments

While on the bike today I was reading a men’s health magazine and I saw and article about liquid meal replacements, I know most of the shit in body building magazines are full of crap but I was wondering if I replace 2 meals with a liquid meal replacer would it help me cut down some pounds I am going for around 2300 cals a day so it would help with prepping meals and stuff. If it’s a good idea any brands in mind that are fairly well priced, I am on a student budget (which is not a lot)

Eating 2300 calories is really no big deal. Why would you want to replace a meal with such stuff?

Well I am going to start cutting next month and it seemed like a simple way to have those meals when i am on the run like between classes and stuff it would probably make my life a lot less stressful. And I think my cal intake is wrong i can’t find the link i used what are you supposed to multiply you weight in to find your cal intake for a cut?

If you know your maintenance calories, drop about 15% a day.

Sometimes I will replace a meal with a shake, using 1 scoop of vanilla whey, 3/4 cup mixed berries, 1/2 cup oatmeal, and i cup of water, just toss it in the blender.

Or I will mix 1 scoop chocolate whey, 2 Tbsp nat PB, 1 small banana and 1 cup of skim milk

Works out to around 400 - 500 calories

Would this link be of any use? http://www.ironmagazineforums.com/di...intenance.html (Guide to Cutting, Bulking & Maintenance)
By the way, you should also google to know more about the zigzag method. I find this one important so you don't give your body a chance to adjust to a specific number of calories.

a shake is fine.
A typical shake for me is
Protein Powder
Cultured Yougurt
OatBran
Fruit
Skim Milk
Milled Flax Seeds

Define what you mean by meal replacement

Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.
