    Calorie Cycling on a Cut

This has probably been brought up a gazillion times but....

What do you think of calorie cycling while on a cut? In the past, I have stuck with the 50/30/20 and had a cheat meal once a week and a higher complex carb ratio on weight days, which worked ok for me. I have recently read an article that mentioned to have low calories for 5 days and high calories for 2 days while on a cut.

    Opinions on this?

I think it really depends on how low your low days are. BFFM by Tom Venuto really emphasizes Calorie Cycling but he does three low days followed by one high day. All in all though it is a good way to cut!
Only time will tell if it was time well spent!

I read an article somewhere about this too...but I believe it was the 3 low, 1 high method, and the low days were not all that low....let me see if I can find it over the next couple of days Katt....

I think it works just fine. Personally, I prefer a more complex cycling method. You can find a good calculator here: Zig-Zag Calculator for Fat Loss and/or Muscle Gain
    December 30, 2007: Body Weight: 75.8 Kg / 174.3 lbs Body Fat Percentage: 21.9%
Current (January 13, 2008): Body Weight 66,7 Kg / 147.2 lbs Body Fat Percentage: 5.8%

Cool link... I suppose I would just have to alter it a bit given my increased calorie intake to sustain my muscle mass...
