Question I'm ruining my eggs

Hey,

Here’s just a basic cooking question:

- I keep screwing up making my eggs “sunny-side-up”.
- Every time I try to make them they get ruined and I end up making scrambled eggs again (I can’t flip them).
- I don’t want to put any grease or oil on the pan. I like to stay away from that stuff.

Thanks,
Foodio

No idea how to make sunny side up eggs.

HOWEVER, Pam cooking spray - try it. Unless you have the calphalon stainless steel, then you have to use olive oil or a little margarine.

Cook the yolk. Cooking your eggs sunny side up isn't the healthiest way to eat them. You risk salmonella poisoning by eating them sunny side up.

I agree with MBC, use some pam spray.I use the Pam fat-free spray for my eggs. When you cook your eggs sunny side up, do you put the eggs in before the pan heats up?That is how I use to cook them and they always got screwed up.Try this.Let the pan warm up on medium heat for a couple of minutes.Give it a quick spray, then after a few seconds, put your eggs on.If you put the eggs on first, then warm the pan, they will usually get stuck to the pan.

You like them that way best?
I've always liked scrambled better anyway, or omelets. I made a great omelet the other night with eggbeaters, ham, onions, healthy choice lo-fat sausage, and fat free cheese. It was very good!

I don`t cook my eggs this way anymore I boil them. If you don`t want to use cooking spray on the pan, you can put a lid on the pan and the top of the eggs will steam cook.

There TONS of different ways to cook eggs. Pick up a cook book or go to your local bookstore and read one. There are also plenty of websites that give recipes.

As far as "what's an omelet", it's scrambled eggs mixed with cheese, mushrooms, bacon, ham, or whatever else you want to add to it. You've never had an omelet before?? You must have one. Today.

I use that non-fat cooking spray and a teflon pan.

The biggest mistake most people make when cooking an omlet is to not get the pan hot first and also not hot enough. Get the pan good and hot and I use oil, not much but just enough to cover the cast iron pan.

I have a horrible time making them, my wife makes them good, so I defer to her. I stick to the scrambled eggs, pancakes and waffles. I make great flavored pancakes and waffles, blueberry, apple cinnamon, chocolate chip. I often eat these breakfast foods for dinner.

Question

I sometimes eat breakfast foods for dinner too.
Is it ok to eat breakfast foods for dinner?

To me it wouldn’t make a difference.

I tend to avoid putting things like chocolate chips or cinnamon in my food.

Nothing wrong with eating breakfast foods for dinner. To me, food is food. Why not eat eggs for dinner if that's what you want? Just stay away from the donuts and pastry.

Hey,

I figured that.
I don't eat things like pastries, donuts and stuff like that.
