    Ultra Fine Scottish Oats?

I constantly see in diets Oats as being used for the first meal. However I bought some Porridge oats, messed them up in the microwave so cooked them on the stove. The problem is, is that i am too lazy to cook them.

However you can buy Ultra Fine Scottish Oats in bulk as a powder. Would mixing this with my protein be just as good? The nutritional info per 100g is as follows:-

    Energy 388.0cal
    Protein (dry basis) 8.5g
    Carbohydrates 70.7g
    of which sugars 0.8g
    Fat 7.9g
    of which saturates 1.3g
    of which mono unsaturates 3.3g
    of which poly unsaturates 3.3g
    Dietary Fibre 8.8g
    Sodium 30.0mg

One other question. I also use 1 scoop maltodextrin to my shake after training. There are other carbs available such as Fructose, Dextrose and Palatinose. When my Maltodextrin runs out would it be advisable to switch to another kind. And if so which is best.

    Thanks in advance
