When I wake up in the morning, I love to work out. This is obviously not good, because I have recently found from other members that exercising on an empty stomach is horrible for you. So this is what I like to do in terms of training. 3 sets of pull ups with 2 different hand positions (6 sets total). I also get about 200 push ups in 4 sets. Then I work on my core for about 30 minutes. After all this, I like to do my cardio for about 40 to 45 minutes.
My question is what would be fair to consume before this type of workout?
My thought would be that I would do maybe 1/2 cup whey protein with a banana or apple? Is that enough or should I have a full breakfast and wait for 3 and a 1/2 hours before I do all those exercises?
I have some coffee and heavy cream an hour before in the morning and I'm the strongest I've ever been. Just have to experiment and see what works best for you.
Well, I like 2 cups of hot green tea, but apparently I'm missing out on some key nutrients before I workout which leads to muscle loss? Does that sound about right?

The first things to do in the mourning is first, drink a big glass of water to help rehydrate from your rest, secondly you want to consume sum protein, the protein has been drawn out of your muscles overnight.
I would suggest reading about shakes, this is a great way to prepare for the day as well as pre workout. The apple you suggested is a great pre-workout snack, but not enough by itself.
Also you want to be fully hydrated when you go to bed and take sum protein as well to get through the night. The sleep period is extremely important, thats when muscle rebuilding takes place.
I eat fibrous green veggies, with whey protein and some fat to slow down the digestion. Is that good enough before I go to bed?
And your suggestion on the protein shake- 1/2 cups of oats with 1 cup of whey and a banana in there be okay?

I like to use milk with protein before bed, this will absorb more slowly to keep things more stable.
Thats a good shake, maybe toss in sum berries and if you really want to dial in add a teaspoon of olive oil and flax seed oil to get your omegas.
+1 for working out in the morning, your testosterone levels are higher and you'll have all day to feed your muscles. Me I'm too lazy, early morning cardio is as far as I'll go.
Regarding how long before, even the fastest isolate is going to take 15 minutes to even begin circulating - wait a good half hour at least.
