Well i never counted calories before, so im fairly new to this all
but so far i've read a decent amount but anyways this was my diet today
(OH and id estimate my average daily calorie intake at a high 2500+ (maybe 2500-3000) calories before not exactly as clean as it should have been either
I dont even know if you would call it a diet! heh
Calories Eaten Today

grams cals %total
Total: 1462

Carbs: 120 433 31%
Fiber: 12 0 0%
Protein: 159 636 45%
Alcohol: 0 0 0%

Protien Shake
Tuna Can + Wheat Bread (2) Slice
Wheat Bread 2 Slice + 3 Lean Ham Slices
8oz Skim Milk + Protien Shake
Quaker OatMeal - (half cup dry)
Roasted Chicken Breast ( Lucky's Deli) (estimate about 4oz) + Wheat Bread (2slice)
Mixed Nuts - 1oz

Thats everything i ate throughout the day about every 2-3 hours
hows that looking?
Oh and btw im trying to cut right now and lose bodyfat, i have been working out with weights for about 13 months or so, and have recently started doing cardio ( this week) as im starting a "Cut" session my body fat scale says im around 25%, but i dont know how accurate that is. Any advice would be appreciated

That's a bit of bread, also there are no veggies or fruit.

damnit i just ate another sandwich with roast beef, my calories are now at 1765:
protien 179 716 42%
carbs 160 578 34%
fat 44 394 23%

i think that may be one of my problems is that i do eat alot of bread
Also i forgot to mention i take a multi vitamin with my first protien shake of the day (centrum multi)
and also a quick question, dont all whole grain carbs = the same thing? i mean so what if i get my carbs from alot of bread will that really hurt my cutting phase? =\ arent all protiens protiens and all carbs carbs? (except for fatty white carbs?)

Hey IM trying to diet also Ive been doing so for 6 weeks now just sarting to count my calories, it is hard as hell to cut back on breads starch, pasta ect. But I try to substitute with veggies and fruit and trying to eat salad which im not a big fan of but I do anyway, seems to help. Tomorrow will be a big test as it is my off day of workout, not working right now so its hard not to eat so much. Check out my blogs if you want to...

The key is don't try to make major changes all at once, make small changes every week until you are where you want to be. For example, instead of using normal bread, change to whole grain or preferably sprouted grain bread (it tastes better anyway ). Instead of normal pasta, use whole grain pasta.
