Hunger at night..

I get hungry at night. Im in ok shape just trying to lose a little fat on belly and love handles. Nothing major. I can see my abs but I have a small layer of fat. I wanna get rid of it for the summer. I get hungry as hell at night. I try and eat 3 hours before bed but it seems that right when I go to bed the hunger starts and it just sucks going to bed with this starving feeling. Any tips, Thanks

I have the same problem.. its frustrating! What ive been doing is eating a meal before bed, not a protein shake. Ill have something low carb and high fibre/protein, like cottage cheese with a bowl of blue berries, or yogurt and a banana or something... i get hungry from protein shakes relatively quickly, and whenever i have that as my last meal before bed, my stomach is rumbling as im laying down to goto sleep.

Foods like almonds, oranges, and apples etc are high in fibre and i find help keep me full without feeling bloated or taking in alot of cals. I also drink 1-2 large cups of water with that meal.

I dunno about you, but i sometimes, on rare occasions, I cant take it and I crack lol... itl be 12 am and im so hungry I do horrible things that I regret haha... i tell ya, a craving for peanut butter and carbs can really be satisfying when it is met

Agreed try a solid meal as your last meal.

How much water do you consume through out the day?

Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.

you should drink way more water. You should drink enough that two of your urination's through the day are almost crystal clear.

Unless you get acid reflux or something like that, eating 3 hours before bed is too long.

My last meal and sleep are separated by 1 hour at most and thats if i toss and turn and can't fall asleep (most days i'm exhausted so thats a non issue). Solid food is the best, low GI/fibrous carbs, protein and fat as long as they fit into your kcals for the day. If you want, you can get rid of the carbs and eat some broccoli or something for fiber.

A TBSP of natural PB and 1/2C of fat free cottage cheese is a get pre-bed snack/meal!

the slow-digesting protein (casien) in the CC and the PB will slow down the digestion even longer giving you a longer release of protein while your body is sleeping

I'd rather eat straight before going to bed than 3 hours previous.

I give myself at least a 30m buffer between eating and bed otherwise I get some...returned merchandise.

hunger before bed keeps me from sleeping; leads me to go for something small, solid and protein not long before.

Balance out your cals so you can eat something sooner before going to bed.
