too much oatmeal??

i'm bulking right now averaging about 3000-3200 cals a day. would it be too much oatmeal to eat 1 cup a day? (1/2c with breakfast and 1/4 with 1 scoop of protein twice a day?)

i'm pretty sure even 2 cups wouldn't be too much, but i want to make sure that i'm not getting my carbs from ONLY oatmeal.

if i wanted to change to another good carb source that is easily transportable what would be a good one? besides sweet potatoes, i already dig those

I get the vast majority of my carbs from oatmeal. 2C Oatmeal, 1c Brown Rice, 2 apples and 1 orange every day.

I don't think it's bad to get your carbs from it, but variety can't hurt.

What Dan is doing is good, getting a little from natural fruit. The problem with fruit is it fills the liver then goes to fat, so eat it for all the fruity goodness rather than the carbs.

Asides from that oatmeal is fine. Bland as heck by itself but good. If you're bulking why restrict yourself to one or even two? Go for three, spread out across the day.

Yeah, one cup is nothing. I used to eat a cup of oatmeal for breakfast every morning when bulking, then I would have half to a full cup in my PWO shake, and if I needed more carbs for the day and was making a shake, I would throw some oats in.

The only way I can get oatmeal down is dry in yogurt. It's so good for you but to me it tastes damn awful! lol

Peace!
