BODYBUILDING SUPPLEMENTS High Quality Supplements For Bodybuilders and Athletes. www.ironmaglabs.com Hi.
I'm a newb to this. However, not really because I was on and off with not much gain, but I blame myself for that because I wasn't eating right at all. Finally, I have signed a pact with my wife where she helps me make all the gaining mass foods. So to take advantage of this offer, I wanted to get some good recipes, or plans where I eat 6-7 times a day. Obviously P+F and P+C meals. I'm also looking for beginner exercises, but since we're in the Diet and Nutrition category, I won't mention that here. Any help would be gladly, glady appreciated. Thank you. My stats are: 5'10.5", 155lbs. |

Dude i got 2 words for you TRUE MASS. BSN makes it and u can get it any where online. If there was such thing as a hard gainer i was him.I started out at 156 34 days ago now up to 177. Let me tell u i tryed every thing but have no need to look any were else . 2 servings a day of that with whole milk equals 1800 calories. I work out 5 on 2 off hitting diff. body part everyday.

I disagree with the BSN product, there is no need for that.
What you need is whole food, and alot of it. How many meals a day are you eating now? If you are only eating 2-3 I wouldn't recommend jumping straight to 6-7. I would work up to that many meals over time. Don't just jack up your calories a ton right away, although you will probably need to raise them initially quite a bit. Any reason for just protein + fat and protein + carb meals? It's fine to eat those nutrients all together in one meal. When you are bulking there is certainly no reason to separate them. Check out the stickies in the Diet and Nutrition forum, there is a link to a list of healthy food items to purchase. Other than that, track your cals, eat alot and don't be suprised if you are force feeding yourself to get the cals you need. Oh yeah, again, don't waste your money on "gainer" supplements. Instead I suggest buying some whey protein. As for exercises and programs, read the stickies in the training forum to start. |

However, I've checked the stickies. Most of them don't mention what it's good for. Me, however, I'm looking to bulk up so I need recipes that basically spell out something like "This is good for skinnies looking to bulk, cal: prot: carb:" Can't seem to be able to figure that out. |

Hmmm, there used to be a link to a list of healthy food choices but I don't see it anymore.
Anyway - Skinny people should eat the same foods as more muscularly gifted people, except more of it. I'll try to find that list. Here is a link to a site that gives a fairly comprehensive look at how to shape a diet and why. That was contained in the stickies, but you may not have seen it yet. Human Nutrition There is a recipe forum as well on this board. Healthy Recipes - IronMagazine Bodybuilding Forum |

Did you look at the recipe forum?
I searched "healthy food list" - WHFoods: The World's Healthiest Foods Several good choices there. |

But I really want a little more like categories: "To bulk up" "To lose fat", etc. Obviously most websites don't have such categories, hence why I'm looking for somebody to just point me to some recipes that they know are good for bulking up. |

There is no food that is specific to bulking up or cutting.
It all comes down to how much you consume of the food. |

Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.

For cutting I may decrease my dairy and general carb consumption (more importantly sugar) and balance that w/ more protein and fats. |

Can't go wrong with oatmeal and eggs....and as to my 1st post i was'nt suggesting for him to build his diet around a protein shake, thats stupid. After he gets his diet up an running and is still falling short of his caloric intake the extra 1800 calories will make the difference,i know that cause it did for me 26 pounds in 40 days working out five days a week so its not all just fat weight.

26 lbs in 40 days. That's more than 1/2 lb a day. That is way too fast to be gaining weight. |
