cooking with wine

cooking wine takes the alcohol out of it, right?

so does that mean i can use wine in sauteing chicken or as a marinade for steaks without worrying about it getting in the way of protein absorption and fat burning?

Cooking wine takes burns like 99% of the alcohol out. But wine contains a fair amount of sugar especially when concentrated while cooking so make sure to account for those extra calories if it affects your dieting goals.
