Avocados (Green skin)

Is the following nutritional value of 1 avocado given on fit day correct?

Amount Per 1 avocado, Florida (green skin)
Calories 489.44
Total Fat 46.57g
Saturated Fat 7.41g
Polyunsaturated Fat 5.94g
Monounsaturated Fat 29.21g
Total Carbohydrate 22.47g
Dietary Fiber 15.2g
Protein 6.02g

I just ate a full one (my first one - delicious) and didnt realise how much it contained (all good tho!)

When eating do you guys tend to eat a full one at a time, or half?
I'll make it fit my intake of 2500 cals if needed, just didnt realise theres so many calories in it! just curious if the data is correct?

Seems rather high.

I eat a whole avocado most days.

I weigh out the flesh though - our grocery-store avocados generally have about 6 ounces of flesh. I checked the USDA nutrient database and programmed in avocado flesh - 6 ounces has 282 calories - 26g fat, 15g carb (11 of which are from fibre), and 3g of protein.

That would depend greatly on the avocado's size and (interestingly) it's ripeness.

I know that 1 cup of mashed ripe avocado contains 400 (give or take 50) calories and 40 grams of fat.

If eating only half an avocado cover the uneaten half in a plastic bag, place in the fridge and ensure that the stone is left in it. It shouldn't oxidise (flesh goes brown/black) if you do that.

Proteins are good... Fats are good... Carbs are the problem!

Lemon juice, put flat side down on a plate. And wrap up.
